On Random Acts of Kindness Day, Monday, February 17th, LCA will donate 25% of their treatment proceeds to Art From Ashes Nonprofit
Who are we supporting?: Art from Ashes (AfA) provides creative empowerment workshops to high-risk youth, facilitating expression, connection and transformation among the most neglected and vulnerable segments of our community.
Art from Ashes (AfA) uses a nationally-recognized, award-winning curriculum that encourages creative transformation through the power of artistic expression. AfA is the first youth arts agency in Colorado to use a process of creativity to facilitate personal resiliency and self-determination among high-risk youth age 9 to 24 years old.

With specialized training and personalized attention, aestheticians and estheticians bring out the healthiest, most radiant skin in each of us. Their knowledge and skills often go unrecognized and yet they deliver superior services every day in spas, salons and medical clinics across the country. On National Aesthetician Day, we want to recognize all the care and attention aestheticians and estheticians give every day by offering them $20 acupuncture sessions at LCA.

During National Farmers Market Week, LCA is donating a percentage of our proceeds to Denver Urban Gardens!
About Denver Urban Gardens
Mission: Denver Urban Gardens comes alongside residents, and together, they cultivate gardeners, grow food and nourish community. DUG offers neighborhoods the essential resources for community gardens, including ongoing technical expertise with:
- securing sustainable land for gardens;
- designing and building gardens;
- supporting garden organization, leadership, outreach and maintenance;
- utilizing gardens as extraordinary places for learning and healthy living; and
- linking gardens with related local food system projects and policy.
They currently operate over 181 community gardens throughout Metro Denver, including more than 66 school-based community gardens. In addition to building and supporting community gardens, they operate DeLaney Community Farm, the Master Composter Training Program, the Master Community Gardener Training Program, Grow a Garden, and provide extensive opportunities for youth education in nutrition and gardening.

Acupuncture Fundraiser for Jefferson Center for Mental health on PTSD Awareness Day
Thursday, June 27th, 2019 ($75 donated!)
PTSD Awareness Day On Thursday, June 27th, 2019, a percentage of LCA’s treatment proceeds will be donated to Jefferson Center for Mental Health in honor of PTSD Awareness Day!
Date: Monday, April 8th to Friday, April 12th, 2019 – a portion of LCA proceeds will be donated to the Jefferson County Library Foundation ($75 Donated!)
During National Library Week, support local libraries by getting acupuncture. The Jefferson County Library Foundation’s mission is to support and enrich the capabilities, resources and services of Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) through fundraising and advocacy efforts that benefit their diverse community through:
- Early Childhood Literacy – including the popular1,000 Books Before Kindergartenyear-round program and the Raise A Readerweekend activity series that promotes parent/child interaction and helps children develop pre-reading skills.
- STEM/STEAM programs – that encourage teens and tweens (and especially girls!) to engage in hands-on science, technology, engineering and math projects at various JCPL branch locations.
- Summer Reading challenge – a family-oriented reading program that promotes reading all throughout the summer months as a safeguard to prevent children and teens from falling victim to a loss of literacy skills if they don’t keep on reading.
Date: Monday, April 22nd 9am-5pm – a portion of LCA proceeds will be donated to Water For People ($130 Donated!)
On Earth Day, help people who do not have access to water by coming in for a treatment. Water For People envisions a world where every person has access to reliable and safe water and sanitation services. Water For People exists to promote the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments.
Acupuncture Fundraiser for World Orphan Week
From Monday, March 4th to Friday, March 8th, 5% of all profits from services at Lakewood Community Acupuncture will be donated to the Denver Police Orphans’ Fund. The Orphans’ fund was created in 1948 as one officer’s personal contribution to orphans of deceased Denver police officers. This act of kindness later developed into a nonprofit that has supported orphans of Denver police ever since! The fund pays for their secondary schooling/college tuition as long as they are under 25 years of age and have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.

Acupuncture Fundraiser to End Child Abuse, Domestic Violence & Homelessness
Date: Monday, February 11th to Friday, February 15th
5% of all profits from services will be donated to the nonprofit, the Family Tree ($75 donated!)
During Random Acts of Kindness Week, 5% of all treatment proceeds at Lakewood Community Acupuncture will be donated to the Family Tree. Family Tree is a non-profit human services agency providing innovative, life-changing services designed to end child abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness. Book your appointment during the week of Monday, February 11th to Friday, February 15th to take care of yourself and your community at the same time!

Monday, January 21st National Hug Day-A hug embodies caring for others and embracing those who need us. Youth with suicide on their mind, need to be embraced. On National Hug Day, let’s raise some money for an organization that helps teens and youth survive and thrive.
